Guian Qian

Prof. Dr. Guian Qian is a professor from the State Key Laboratory of Nonlinear Mechanics, Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His main research areas are fatigue, fracture and lifetime evaluation of materials. He has published more than 100 papers in different journals such as JMPS, Acta Mater, Int J Fatigue, etc. He has been cited more than 5,000 times. He is a editorial member of International Journal of Fatigue and Fatigue and Fracture of Engineering Materials and Structures, and an associate editor of Forces in Mechanics. He was awarded the Outstanding Paper of the American Society of Mechanical Engineering, Pressure Vessel Piping (ASME PVP) in 2016, and the Outstanding Paper of the European Society for Structural Integrity (ESIS) in 2018.
